World’s End Rhapsody

Sorry for the “hiatus”, but I will fix it now. Final exams went well and now I am counting down to close out the college chapter of my life at the end of this year. I got to spend time with Blessing and other friends for her birthday this year. For one reason or another, I missed her birthday celebrations every year during college, so I owed it to her to be there this time.

I also was fortunate to attend Daniel’s crawfish boil, and hang out with Renae who will be leaving soon for law school.

After birthday celebrations and final exams, I took a trip home and got to witness Russell’s cool dubstep friendly apartment. Awwww yeaaaaaa. I also got to check out Black Friar Pub in Dallas, Texas while visiting an old friend Carleigh. It was good to see her again after so many years. Anyone who is in this area should check out this place along with some others. I have much to see in the downtown Dallas area, as my adult life so far has been primarily spent in Austin. I also got to see Andrea. Always a pleasure to catch up. Good to hear that she is feeling better.

Due to some circumstances, along with some unfortunate events, I did not get to travel this year, and made a decision not to travel for my birthday. I did get to go back to see all of the new graduates, and the soon to be graduates. Shout out to Uchenna, “the boy that lived”, with a great new job.

Then a night on the town with Miss Sharpe, Audrey, and Natalie

More surprising, I saw Jackie, who I haven’t seen in YEARS…

The next day and night were even more amazing, with a celebration for David’s graduation (D-Lew),

a dinner with (almost) all of my original team during these college years,

and finally one more trip downtown

I apologize to those I didn’t get to see, and those who I just didn’t get to see this weekend. Between two big graduation celebrations and very limited sleep, I had burnt myself out by Saturday night. I really appreciate the ride from Patricia and Gerald to and from Austin.

I know things will work out in the end. We just have to keep being patient and faithful for the right outcome. Today her, tomorrow me. To the future Miss Butka.

This has been one of the best years of my life, and hopefully it will continue to throw blessings, good memories, and good luck my way. I may have missed out on the cruise this year, but my friends are doing well, my parents are safe, and my day is coming soon. That’s all for now.

Song: Lupe Fiasco feat. Trey Songz – Out of My Head
This song has been stuck in my head lately. Maybe it is relevant to me, or maybe it is just catchy, who knows. Lupe is great like always, and it reminds me of what Trey Songz used to be before his music style…changed a bit.

Song 2: Nujabes – World’s End Rhapsody
It’s no secret that this is my favorite song. To me, this is the song of all songs. I felt it was relevant with the whole May 21st end of the world scare. When the world is about to come to an end, I’ll be sure to have this on repeat.
