Pulp Fiction

I am very late with this update, but that is okay. We are all busy with the other things in our lives right now anyways. This post will have more links, images, and less words than usual. Before I get into the weekend, Chili’s has a new dessert, and Cara and I decided to try it. It was really good, but I think I am growing out of Chili’s actual food. Patrick went as far as to ask if I am finally “awake” yet. Haha well Cara and I decided not to break a 3 year tradition so here it is…

After a serious round of exams, homework, and limited sleep, I was able to kick back and enjoy the weekend with an old friend and roommate. He showed me Metro 2033 on his PC which I recommend to anyone with a PC good enough to run the game. It is beautiful and scary at the same time. It has been years since a game was even remotely scary to play.

We then went to visit some friends at the Triangle. Happy birthday Donah, and again sorry that I missed out on the downtown experience. It was a night of Chris Rock standup comedy with many good friends. The next morning was the great Al Pastor on Riverside with Patrick (P-Lu). Before we got there, I saw a nice old Honda Accord but with oversized tires. I don’t like seeing this on Hondas, but that is just my opinion.

Anyways this place is amazing, and I recommend it to anyone in Austin on Riverside. I went with the Al Pastor Enchiladas this time. P-Lu is always helping me find the nice places to eat in Austin.

I also met Thomas’s parents this weekend. They are very nice people. Yesterday was a good and simple day reading, relaxing, and hanging out with my neighbor Michael. Today was really good, as I was able to help someone correct her error, AND got pancakes out of the deal, so it was a winning day for me. Nothing beats fresh food made from home, and it is even better when this “Bougie Milk” as Gloria called it is added. I may have to start buying it because of its greatness.

So Gloria finally watched Pulp Fiction. I think that everyone born before 1993 needs to have seen this movie by now. It is the ultimate classic. (link from Edward Copeland film blog)

Last, I played Super Street Fighter 4 for the first time in months, and it felt pretty good. Patrick’s E. Honda is still as scary as ever. Well that is all for now. Good luck everyone with finals/work/graduation/any other endeavors. This June I am taking a big step to achieve my dreams. Details coming soon…
